The title could be “Do you recognise this person?…”
It could be a simple installation where the person stands in front of a white wall. A camera would record him/her from behind. Then we take the screen out and show the footage on a TV. The person would be himself from the back…. would you recognise yourself if you show your back? …
We can have fun telling the person to wear a jacket and a trousers the other way around and see the effect on the footage….
This could be a kind of a metaphor of the other identities, shelves we carry inside without being aware of it.
It is like when you get really, really angry and you loose yourself… like you are a different person…but you at the same time… We can make the person to pretend to be really angry or laughing like crazy and show them the footage… Will you recognise yourself?…
It also reminds of a shadow
Ref: On anorexic cases, the patient is asked to draw her/his silhouette. Normally it is never right because they draw it much bigger than the real one. The silhouette as an accomplice to help recovery.
Everybody uses branding as a form of interaction with the rest. Instead of showing their real look and voice they use their own branding image and sound to represent themselves.
